Johnny Ray Rasdon, aged 61, of Mabelvale, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, October 31st, 2024. He was born on Sunday, February 24th, 1963. Johnny spent over 21 years as a Master Welder-Fabricator at McGeorge Contracting Bauxite Shop, where he honed his craft and contributed significantly to his field.
Johnny was a man who never met a stranger and was known for making friends effortlessly. His quick wit and captivating hour-long stories brought laughter and joy to many, earning him a circle of loyal, lifelong friends. He was deeply involved in his community and a member of Rock Creek Church in Little Rock, Arkansas.
A man of many interests, Johnny was passionate about the outdoors, particularly deer hunting, camping, and lake activities. He also had a keen interest in and was an avid follower of the National Sprint Car Circuit and Outlaw Sprint Cars Circuit.
Johnny is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Sheila Fay Rasdon; his fur-baby (Border Collie Doodle), DG; his mother, Eva Potts Rasdon of DeWitt, Arkansas; his brother, Stevie Rasdon (Sherry) of Lonoke, Arkansas; and his sister, Regina Reed Rasdon of DeWitt, Arkansas. He is preceded by death by his father, James William Rasdon, and his brother, Randy Rasdon.
The funeral services will be held on Friday, November 8th, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. with the visitation from 12:00 P.M.-2:00 P.M. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest following the service at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Pallbearers include Chad Jolly, James Nowlin, Sid Rasdon, Brandon Warner, John Hebert, Grady Parsons. Honorary pallbearers are Lonnie Smith and J.D. Smith.
Johnny's life will be celebrated and remembered as one filled with laughter and a profound love for his family and friends.
