Joseph Edward Plouch, affectionately known as "Chief Joe," passed away on November 21, 2024, in Bryant, Arkansas. Born on February 20, 1949, in New York City, New York, Joseph was the beloved son of the late Wesley Plouch and Marie Murphy.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Schaefer, and two half-brothers, and is survived by his sister, Charlene Plouch, along with two half-sisters, and two half-brothers.
Joseph's life was marked by his remarkable sense of humor and a deeply protective nature, qualities that endeared him to all who knew him. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Sheila Plouch, and their loving family. His legacy continues through his daughter, Kathy Rice, and her husband, Todd Rice, as well as his sons, Joseph (JW) Plouch and his wife, Brittany Plouch, and Jeffrey Plouch and his wife, Jessica Plouch. Joseph was a very proud grandfather to four grandsons: Philip Plouch, Max Rice, Jarrod Plouch, and Owen Plouch, who will carry forward his memory and spirit.
Throughout his life, Joseph was known for his unwavering dedication to his family and his community. His presence was a source of strength and joy, and his laughter was a joy to those around him. As "Chief Joe," he was a figure of wisdom, always ready with a helping hand.
Joseph Edward Plouch's life was a testament to love, resilience, and the power of a good laugh. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in peace, knowing he leaves behind a world made better by his presence.
