Joyce Slayden (Chiasson), 80 of Little Rock, passed away on June 15, 2017. She was born to the late, Felix and Josephine Chiasson on February 25, 1937 in La Rose, Louisiana. She graduated from Little Rock School for the Blind. Joyce loved gospel and country music and enjoyed eating at Cracker Barrel or Popeye's Fried Chicken.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Norman L. Slayden; sister, Theresa Rivet; and brothers, Norman, Francis (Wil), and Nolan (Tnol).
She is survived by many loved nieces and nephews; all of her church family at Fairview Baptist Church in Little Rock and a host of other family and friends who all love and miss her dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant, on Monday, June 19, 2017, at 2:00 with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Don Lutrick will be officiating the services. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
