Obituary

Juanita Ann Blair Hecke was born on August 31, 1959, in Chico, California, and was called home by the Lord on December 18, 2025, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Anita was known by many names—Mom, Sis. Aunt, and "Orphan"—but no matter the title, she always made sure those around her knew they were loved. She was a giver by nature, often putting others before herself and rarely taking time for her own rest.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gary Wayne Johnston; her brother, Jesse Blair of Chico, California; and her parents, Jesse Blair and Mary Jane Blair, also of Chico, California. Her biological mother Lois Day Cox.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Hecke; her children, Christine Shibles (David) of Big Lake, Alaska; Angela Tucker (David) of Mabelvale, Arkansas; and Pamela Roe (Collin) of Traskwood, Arkansas. She is also survived by her bonus son, Anton Janssen .Her beloved sister in law Claudia Blair.

Anita leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, Savanna, Anthony and Clay and her beloved great-grandchild, Molly Shibles.

She is further survived by her sister, Vicki Smith (Steve) of Sacramento, California, and her brother, Milton Blair of Lonsdale, Arkansas. She loved her nieces and nephews with all her heart.

Over the years, Anita was blessed to travel many roads—journeying with her sister and daughter Christine- traveling from Maine to Arkansas, Arkansas to Alaska, and Arkansas to Florida, many trips from Sacramento to th beaches of southern California with her loving sister Vicki. Her brothers Jesse and Milton always keep her on her toes. —faithfully watching her family chase their dreams and witnessing God's wonders unfold along the way.

She was truly a rock in the rough, and when polished with love and generosity, the diamond within shone brightly. She is deeply loved, greatly missed, and remembered as a woman clothed with dignity and upheld by the grace of God.

The family is having a private service at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home on Monday December 22, celebration of life later at the Tucker Residence.
