Juanita "Foiles" Akins Beyer 83 of Bryant passed away on March 7, 2010. She was born on February 15, 1927 to the late Woodson and Lydia "Lid" Foiles in Woodson, Arkansas. Juanita became involved with WOTM Chapter 1660 in Hot Springs in October of 1994. She earned her Academy of Friendship and was Senior Regent from 1994 to 1996. She earned her College of Regents Degree in May of 2003. She loved to fish, play bingo and spend time with her family.
Mrs. Beyer is preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, John "Jack" Akins and Melvin Beyer; five brothers;Sonny, Royce, Skook, Bob and Charlie, one sister, Patricia Kay and one granddaughter, Marissa Shaw.
Juanita is survived by her three loving sons; Tommy Akins (Linda), George Michael Akins (Margie) and Shawn Akins (Ginger); two daughters, Melody Smith (Dwain) and Rosalie Neese; nine grandchildren, Crystal Winkler, John Akins, Jennifer Wilson, Jeanette Carpenter, Melissa Marsden, Chance Neece, Rodney Smith, Holly Tyree and James Smith; fifteen great grandchildren and her two beloved dogs, Babee and Pepe.
