Julia McFarland, age 91 of Little Rock, passed away on March 6, 2018. She was born to the late, Roscoe and Anne Smith in Little Rock, Arkansas on August 22, 1926. She enjoyed bowling and traveling. She loved the beauty of nature and admired the flowers in bloom. Her most valued past-times were fishing with her husband and spending time with her loving family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Marion McFarland, JR; and a daughter Theresa Vardaman.

Julia leaves behind six sons: Dr. Marion Fletcher McFarland III and wife Vivian of Columbia, South Carolina, David McFarland, Jerry McFarland and wife Becky of Conway, Arkansas, Steve McFarland of Little Rock, Arkansas, Tim McFarland and wife Rosemary of Hensley, Arkansas, and John McFarland of Little Rock, Arkansas. Daughters are: Cynthia DeLauter and husband Ed of Fifty-Six, Arkansas, and Susan Martin and husband Randy of Mayflower, Arkansas. She also leaves behind 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren! Also, her niece, Charlotte Duncan and nephew, Jimmy Hammock to whom she was very close, as well as a host of family and friends who all love and miss her dearly.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 2:30PM at Forest Hills Cemetery.

The family would like to give special thanks to Arkansas Hospice for the love and care they gave to Mrs. McFarland. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. McFarland's name to a charity of your choosing.
