Laura Emily Johnson (aka Cindy) age 84, of Bryant, AR, went to be with her Lord and savior on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Baptist Medical Center after fighting leukemia for two years. She was born August 9, 1941, in Clinton, AR, daughter of the late Marion and Elizabeth Bruce of Clinton.

Cindy enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and spending time with her family and friends. Cindy also attended the Crossbar C Cowboy Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Barnett Bruce of Alread and Dewey Bruce of Clinton, husband Ray Johnson of Benton, daughter Tammy Weise of Benton, daughter-in -law Martha Hoffman of Benton, and great grandson Keegan Hoffman of Benton.

Cindy, also referred to as “Maw,” leaves behind a son, Sam Hoffman (Kim), brother Othel Bruce (Michelle) of Greenbrier, sisters-in-law Ruth Bruce Hodge of Alread, and Janet Bruce of Clinton, son-in-law Andy Weise of Benton, grandsons Michael Hoffman (Jessica) of Malvern, Matthew Inglis of Little Rock, and Jerry Nixon of Paron, and step-granddaughters Samantha Ford of Bryant, and Destiny Jo of Brunswick, MO, great-grandson Logan Burnett of Malvern, and her very special friends Kay Diemer Gartrell and Lois Randall, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A private celebration will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to CARTI. Final arrangements are entrusted to Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant.
