Laverne Carver, age 88, of Bryant, Arkansas took her first breath in heaven at 11:00 pm on Friday, December 30, 2022. She was born on Sunday, December 9, 1934, in Bald Knob, Arkansas, to the late, W.A. and Ethel Stone.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Billy Carver; son, Greg Carver; her parents; seven sisters and two brothers.

Laverne loved her church, Oak Park Baptist, where she was a charter member. The one thing she cherished most were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and the piano. She worked at Kellwood for 25 years and Dyke Industries until she retired.

She is survived by one daughter, Lisa Hendricks (Chuck) of Bauxite; one son, Mike Carver (Tori) of Bryant; four granddaughters, Brianna Hendricks (Phillip) of Bauxite, Amber Johnson (Nathan) of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and Rachel and Shaylee Carver of Bryant; four great grandchildren, Carson Hendricks and Weston Hood of Bauxite and Blakely and Maxwell Johnson of Fort Bragg, North Carolina; along with a host other family and friends who all love her and will miss her greatly.

Laverne's celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023, at 1:30 P.M. at Oak Park Baptist Church: 8200 Flintridge Rd, Little Rock, AR 72210.
