IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Leelan Glyn
Gideon
February 14, 1963 – June 17, 2021
Leelan Glen (Glyn) Gideon, son of Sadie Selman and Johnny Gideon, was born on the day of love, February 14, 1963, in Dallas County, Texas at Parkland Hospital. Glen spent part of his life growing up in Catahoula Louisiana, giving him his love for sanding for crawfish, fishing, nature, his style of cooking and his favorite sports team LSU. Glen also loved dirt bikes, motorcycles, horses, and anything that went fast. Glen was a big foodie, loved to cook, feed, and eat. Enjoyed the little things in life like playing pool, waking up early to see the birds and watch the rabbit's play. He was an adventurous and hardworking man his entire 58 years of life. Glen never met a stranger, talked to anyone he crossed paths with, which gave him his huge support system that he could depend on and who often depended on him to have all the answers. Glen had multiple jobs from working on an oil rig, head over maintenance at the Federal building and remodeling homes, being the ultimate fix it man. He spent his last 22 years of life living in the Shannon Hills area surrounded by family. He was called home: 06/17/2021. Glen is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Kelly (Smith) Gideon, his two daughters Kayla Brewer and Asheley (Brewer) Perez, her husband Josh Perez, grandchildren A'Kiya Perez and Kingston Perez, his three sons Daulton Gideon, Leelan Gideon Jr. and James Gideon, his mother Saide Selman, three sisters Renee (Gideon) Latiolais, Samantha Latiolais, Nova Latiolais and a host of family and friends.
