Lena Catherine Herndon, 75, of Bauxite, Arkansas was born to the late, Leonard Heafey and Pauline (Shepherd) Heafey, on Saturday, September 3rd, 1949, in Jefferson City, Missouri. She passed away on Friday, December 6th, 2024, surrounded by love.

Cathy was a special lady that had a lot of friends. She worked in the printing supply business for many years, where she met her husband, Cliff, 36 years ago. They married in 1995 and have had a love beyond compare for 29 years. Cathy loved to sew and crochet. She also had a love for helping the elderly or those who just needed extra help for whatever reason. She eventually got into cleaning houses for the elderly. She loved going to flea markets or estate sales with Cliff on the weekends. Cathy also loved doing what she could for the Sardis Community they lived in. When anyone called and needed something, she didn't hesitate to try her best to help.

Cathy's greatest loss was when she lost her son, Sean, in 2009. He was 34 and had a tragic four-wheeler accident that took his life. She never got over that loss. Cathy will be greatly missed by her husband, Cliff, her family, and a multitude of friends and loved ones. Rest in love, sweet Cathy! Until we meet again..

She is joined in death by her parents, Leonard and Pauline Heafey; her brothers, Richard and Danny Abbott; and her beloved son, Sean Russell Fleharty.

Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband, Clifford Herndon; two granddaughters, Lauren Renee Fleharty and Kylee LeAnn Fleharty; her brother, Bill Abbott; along with many loved ones and friends who have crossed her path that love her so deeply and will miss her presence greatly.

Her graveside service will be held on Friday, December 13th, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Services provided by Dial and Dudley Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers include Brandon Herndon, Blake Herndon, Josh Herndon, Patrick Williams, Paul Herndon, Daniel Herndon, and Bryce Riddle.
