Leona Astor Taber, 97, of Little Rock passed away May 15, 2014 She was born April 4, 1917 in Collinsville, Oklahoma, the daughter of Floyd and Maudie (Still) Clifton. She was a member of Green Memorial Baptist Church and retired from the Little Rock Public School District.
Leona was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 53 years, Cecil Albert Taber, and sons Glenn, Cecil Leroy and Arvil Taber. She is survived by three sons, Thomas Floyd Taber of Little Rock, James Michael Taber of Alexander, Phillip (Skip) Taber of Benton and her daughter, Beverly Ann Lawrence and her husband John of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 2:00 PM.at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
