Louis Jewel DePriest 71 of Little Rock went to be with the Lord May 15, 2015. He was born August 21, 1943 to Delbert and Ethel DePriest in Paron, Arkansas.
Lewis loved to go to church and was attending Christ Church in Alexander. He was a certified mechanic and worked at Little Rock Dodge for many years, a carpenter for Jim Walter Homes and retired from the Arkansas Central School District.
Louis is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Zelma Mae Fennison DePriest; brothers, Elbert, Steve and Delbert Jr. and granddaughter, Emily Cox.
He is survived by three sons; Roy (Michelle), Ray (Cynthia) and Lewis Derrick (Jenna) DePriest; one daughter, Robyn (Robbie) Gilbert; twelve grandchildren, Morgan, Hayden, Justin, Lauren, Gaven, Kayla, Timothy, Jaelyn, Ava and Aubree Depriest, Erica Cox and Jacob Gilbert; sisters, Mary Dyer, Charlcie Gibbs, Joyce (Autrey) Dudley, Laveda (Richard) Carter and Brenda (George) Yarberry; special friends, Laura Edgar and Townsel Boyd and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends who all loved him and will miss him dearly.
A celebration will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant at 1:00 PM.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
