Obituary

Luetta Ruth Ragsdale, 84, of Bryant, Arkansas was born Monday, June 17th, 1940. Many didn't know she was a singer/songwriter and even recorded a 45 record and an album, with shared members of Elvis Presley's band. She loved her independence, a good perm, Joel Osteen jokes, a seasonal fern to nurture well, a buttermilk cake donut dipped in her morning coffee, checking in to make sure everyone was 'well', reading her daily paper (Arkansas Democrat Gazette) on her iPad, and blowing kisses as family visits came to a close. Until recently, her Sundays were spent enjoying multiple televised church services.

Left to cherish her memories are her children Marilyn (Bobby) Rhodes of McKinney, Texas and Steve (Angela) Ragsdale, also of Bryant, four grandchildren Paige (Randy), Angie (David), Ross and Zoe (Jake) and three great-grandchildren Chelsice (Erick), Ashlie and Tyler;  along with a host of other family and friends who all love her greatly. She is now joyfully re-united once again with her parents, four brothers, one sister and husband Burman Ragsdale.

Her earthly visit came to a close Friday, March 7th, 2025 — so, we blow kisses as she enters her heavenly home. A celebration of life will be held graveside on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Pisgah Cemetery, 1718 Pisgah Road, Pottsville, Arkansas.
