Obituary

Our dear mother, Margaret W. Lewis, passed away on December 28th, 2023, at the age of 92 years old. She was born May 20th, 1931, in Jonesboro, Arkansas to parents William and Hazel White. Most of her life was spent in Memphis, Tennessee. She was a loving wife and homemaker. For many years, she was a wonderful dancer with her husband as partner in both round and square-dancing clubs in Memphis.

They enjoyed camping and travel. She was an excellent seamstress, gardener, as well as an avid reader. She and her husband were one of the original members of the Raleigh Presbyterian Church. She was always a firm believer that "nothing ventured, nothing gained". That "can't never could do anything if you put your mind to it". God promises that all things are possible through Him.

The last 13 years of her life were spent in Maumelle, Arkansas.

She is preceded in death by her faithful husband, William E. Lewis, a son Bradley A. Lewis, and a grandson David B Low.

She is survived by her sister Sue Smith in Lake Wylie, South Carolina, two daughters, Linda L. Miller (Al) of Maumelle, Arkansas and Carol Low of Cumming, Georgia, and one son, William E. Lewis, Jr. (Dr. Ron Groseclose) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Five Grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to her care givers at The Lakes of Maumelle Nursing Home and Gentiva Hospice.

A celebration of Life and Graveside service will be held at Memory Hill Gardens on Germantown Road in Bartlett, Tennessee (to be announced at a later date).

Anyone wishing to make donations may direct them to an organization of their choice supporting research for Dementia or Alzheimer's Disease.
