Margaret Jean Parks's Obituary

Margaret Jean (Jeanie) Parks
70
July 27, 1946

If you knew Jeanie in any part of her life you couldn't help but remember her for her warm smile and bright eyes, and those round "apple" cheeks.
She was generous beyond measure and loved to "love."
And despite her claiming to be a quiet person…anyone who knew Jeanie would disagree.
Mom (Mimi) loved to talk, she never met a stranger and always had a hug to give.
As a mother and grandmother, she was a giver of her time and attention.
She liked to listen to your stories and hear how the day unfolded. She would share in your excitement as if it was her own.
Jeanie was artistic, kind, compassionate and never had a bad word to say about anyone.
While her kids were little she substitute taught at their schools.
Once they graduated and started lives of their own, she became a paraprofessional at Springhill Elementary School where she worked for 14 years.
Kids were her passion! It meant the world to her to get a hug and a smile from the little one's she helped. She always felt more comfortable working with the students who needed just a little extra attention to get it correct.
Jeanie was a rare soul who never wanted for much except for someone to sit and talk.
Material things didn't matter to her, but her daughters and her grandchildren brought her all the joy that she ever needed. She loved them with all her heart.
If she had 10 dollars left in her wallet – she'd hand you "ten."
Jeanie touched every life she encountered and for those of us who knew and loved her, God took her from us too soon.
She was loved well by her cousins…her co-workers….and certainly her family and friends.
She had recently been diagnosed with ALS…and while it was frightening for her…she never complained.
She faced it fearlessly with tears streaming.
Margaret was the only daughter of Samuel Jones Fleming and Margaret Lee Troxel Fleming (both deceased). A celebration of life will be held in the City of Bryant at Bishop Park, 6401 Boone Road, Bryant, Arkansas, 72022 on April 2, 2017 from 4-6pm.
