Marian Hulsey, age 81, of Benton went straight to heaven Wednesday night August 6, 2008. She was born in New Orleans, LA on September 2, 1926.
She is preceded in death by her parents Andre Mouton and Corinne Fortier Mouton, and also 3 brothers; Joseph Andre Mouton, Robert "Bob" Mouton and Dr. Ramon Mouton and one sister Amelie Mouton.
Ms. Hulsey is survived by on daughter, Irene Hobbs of Bryant and her husband, Virgil and the loves of her life, her grandchildren; Felisity Powell of Seminole, OK Rachelle Hobbs of Bryant and Rusty Hobbs also of Bryant. One special great-grandson Ashton of Bryant. She is also survived by one sister, Sister Mary Andre, a nun of over 70 years of Oppeulous, LA
Marian taught French and English in school for 39 years but more than education she taught love, compassion and consideration to all who met her. After she retired from Hall High School in 1988 she volunteered at the Stew Pot in Little Rock for many years, and worked tirelessly to stop abortion.
Mamma was the true definition of a lady by the highest standards.
She attended Our Lady of Fatima Church in Benton for over 50 years. She taught many adults to read and volunteered many summers to teach the underprivileged in Scott, Ar
Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Friday, August 8, 2008 at Dial & Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant with a rosary beginning at 6:00 pm
Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday August 9 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Traskwood cemetery
She is also survived by a special life long friend Theda Gatlin
