Marissa Melody Shaw, 24, of Mabelvale passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Marissa's greatest joy in life was being a wonderful mother to her four children. She enjoyed art, writing and spending time with her family. She was born on October 31, 1984 to Shawn Lee and Jo Ella Akins in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mrs. Shaw is preceded in death by her grandfather, Mel Beyer. Marissa is survived by her husband; Dane Shaw; four children, Lydia Joleigh, Tyson Mack, Ella Reese, and Addi Melody Shaw; parents, Shawn and Jo Akins; four sisters, Shari Fernandez (Ray), Susan Gray (Chris), Hallie Muilenburg (Danny) and Melissa Johnston; father-in-law, Greg Shaw; mother-in-law Vanessa Steves (Mike); grandmother, Juanita Beyer and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends who all loved her and will miss her dearly. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home 4212 Hwy 5 North Bryant 501-847-9099.
