Mary Lou Brown, age 80, of Benton, passed away on December 22, 2017. She was born on September 1, 1937, to the late Elmer and Gladys Cross in Marianna, Arkansas. She loved to sew and crochet. In her earlier years she was a kindergarten teacher at Victory Baptist Church and Academy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, William L. Brown, two sisters, and one brother.

Mary is survived by her children, James E. Brown (Melinda), Deborah Thompson (Jimmy), Lisa Harris (Bo), Michael Brown (Melissa), Chris Becker (Greg), Patty Cox (Roger) and Cathy Patterson; grandchildren, Angel, Michelle, Jonathan, Hannah, David, Ravyn and Gabie; seven great-grandchildren, Ethan, Christian, Haley, Abby, Sadie, Sawyer, and Eowyn; one sister, Faye Bevell; one brother, Tommy Parker, and a host of friends and family who all love and miss her dearly. Thanks and recognition goes to her best friend and prayer partner, Athlene Parsons, and special friend, Debbie Robinson.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, December 28, 2017, at 12:00PM at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior.
