Max Carrol McGarity, 75 of North Little Rock, passed away December 22, 2016. He was born March 3, 1941 to Lester and Wilma Hayes McGarity in Sheridan, Arkansas. He was of Baptist faith and was brought up in Lost Creek and Little Creek Baptist Churches.
Max loved music especially Southern gospel. He played both the piano and organ.
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; Louis and Hattie Haynes and Bob and Fannie McGarity and infant brother, Bobby Louis McGarity.
He is survived by sister, Louise McGarity Myrick (Thomas); two nephews, Paul and Kevin Myrick and two nieces, Rita Holman and Marcia Masters.
Graveside memorial will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 1:00 pm at New Hope Cemetery, seven miles south of Sheridan. Memorials will be made to Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Sherwood.
