Medine Watson, age 84, left this Earth for her most joyful Heaven destination on December 1, 2018.  Her journey began in Fordyce, AR and included St. Louis before finally residing in Little Rock with her husband Orvis Watson.  Their love was two hearts beating as one.

Mother to Steve (Suzanne , deceased ) Watson, Sheila (Terry) Taylor, and Patti (Kevin) Carbol.  Sister to Paul Marks and Mary Davis Harrell (deceased). Proud grandmother to Phillip, James, Richelle and Tim,  great grandmother, and cherished "Aunt Dean" to Kara, Stacy, Pam and Mike.

Medine lived her life based on her never-ending faith in Jesus.  She responded joyfully to God's call to serve on mission trips worldwide.  She walked through life with a passion for Christ her Lord. She was a faithful member of Christ Church for many years.

She also traveled with family to many states and countries, fueled by her adventuresome spirit and never-ending curiosity in learning about others and embracing God's gifts of nature.

Medine showered her pets with unconditional love and demonstrated kindness to all creatures marked by 28 years as a zoo docent.  Her warmth, intelligence, sincerity and concern towards others during her tenure as Executive Director of UAMS Eye Bank touched many lives.

Medine's playful humor, wit, positive attitude and creativity was a constant marvel to us all!  She was independent, with tireless tenacity driven by her life's motto "There's got to be a way".  She was a source of great strength and encouragement to family, friends and especially strangers.

Mom, you were a gift to our family as well as many others.  It's fair to say, while you are not with us physically, a part of you lives within all who crossed your path.  You left behind warm memories, sometimes sweet, sometimes inspirational and sometimes funny – of your life, well lived and well loved.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Christ Church, 11800 Vimy Ridge Road in Alexander, then the celebration of Medine's life will be held later that evening at 7:00 P.M. at Christ Church.
