Melanie Dawn Aulwes York, 44, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, June 12th, 2022. She was born to, James and Linda Aulwes, on Friday, March 10th, 1978, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Melanie had so many interests, such as four-wheeler riding, reading, coloring, and listening to her favorite music. In her down time, she loved watching Tik Tok and Grey's Anatomy. Even though Melanie had no filter and would speak her mind whether you liked what she said or not—she was such a caring person. She was always making people laugh and feeling loved. Melanie loved her family so much, and she loved her babies with her whole heart; and "Little Mama," was her best fur friend! Not only did she love her family, but she loved everyone. She enjoyed helping other kids who had loss in their life. She was considered a second mother to them. She even tried to go to college to become a teacher. She would have been a great teacher!

She is preceded in death by her father, James Aulwes; grandpa and grandma, Phillip and Mildred Aulwes; grandma, Mary Blair; and aunt, Robin Blair.

She is survived by two loving children, Haley and Adam York; best friend and mother, Linda Aulwes; best friend and sister, Melissa Aulwes-Giles (Deshawn); one brother, James Aulwes (Dena); two nieces, Elizabeth and Cassie; one nephew, Mason; along with a host of other family and friends who all love her and will miss her presence greatly.

Celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at 12:00 P.M. with the visitation one hour prior at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home. Burial at Forest Hills Memorial Park will follow.
