Melissa Faye Brainerd-Gore 53, of Benton passed away, September 19, 2019.  She was born, November 6, 1965 in Little Rock to the late, DeForest and Patricia Brainerd. Melissa grew up in Bay City, Texas.  She loved making jewelry, gardening, being outdoors and spending time with her boys.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her uncle, Larry Shaw.

Melissa is survived by her loving sons, Wade Lindsey of Dallas, Texas and Bryce Gore of Benton, Arkansas; brother, Bill Brainerd and his wife, Marcie of Chattanooga, Tennessee; sister, Angie Socha and her husband, Jeff of El Campo, Texas; aunt, Elizabeth Shaw of Benton, Arkansas; nephews, Douglas and Patrick Brainerd and Tyler Socha; niece, Taryn Staff and numerous family and friends who all loved her and will miss her dearly.
