May 14, 1957 – June 14, 2021
Michael James Bagley, age 64, of Bryant, was called home to our Lord, on June 14, 2021.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Darlene; their 3 daughters, Brooke (JD) Hammonds of Gurdon, Lauren (Calvin) Nolan of Gurdon, Heather (Rhett) Hunter of Gurdon; grandchildren, Hannah, Madi, Jacob, Hagan, Julian, Landry, and one on the way, Hallie James; 2 brothers, Ronnie Bagley of Conway, AR and Lonnie Bagley of Turlock, CA; 1 sister, Karran Uptergrove of Idaho Falls, ID; a host nieces and nephews; and 18 beagle babies.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Grace Calvert Bagley; sisters, Louise Bagley, Darline Martin, Doris Spencer, Rita Sandlin, Donna Mason and Thelma Wright; brother, Sam Bagley; and a granddaughter, Janessa Hammonds.
Mike was born May 14, 1957 in Sallisaw, OK. In 1973 he moved to Little Rock, AR. He graduated McClellan High School in 1976. Soon after he met the love of his life, Darlene. They married in June of 1980 and just celebrated their 41 st anniversary. Mike was a jack of all trades. From driving cross country in 18 wheelers to becoming a journeyman painter and finally retiring as a Dental Equipment Service Technician after a neck injury.
His greatest accomplishment and legacy he leaves behind is his family. He was a beloved Husband, devoted Daddy and a proud Papaw. He was an avid outdoorsman. He could often be found hunting, fishing, working in his garden or on the farm with his dogs. His kennel, San Tan Bottom Beagles was his pride and joy. He was a member of St. Francis County Beagle Club, Sooner Beagle Club and Lavaca Beagle Club. Inside you could find him in the kitchen whipping up his family's favorite meals or cheering on his Hogs. He was a die-hard Razorback fan but he really loved all sports in general. You didn't see him without a radio in his ear listening to a game and usually a different game playing on his phone. His sense of humor kept everyone entertained, from his funny quips to his dance moves, he always kept us smiling. He was a citizen of the Cherokee Nation but more importantly he was a child of God. His heritage and faith were important to him as he instilled it into his family. He lived life to the fullest, giving his all in all that he did.
