IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael John
Jennings
February 7, 1962 – June 22, 2025
Michael John Jennings, 63, of Alexander, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, June 22nd, 2025, and was born on Wednesday, February 7th, 1962, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Michael built a life defined by redemption, service, and love.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, Michael later found his calling as a truck driver and provider, navigating the highways of the country and the roads of life with strength and determination. In his 50s, he returned to school and earned a bachelor's degree in business management—a testament to his commitment to growth and self-betterment.
Michael was a devoted member of Friendly Chapel Church and Congo Road Baptist Church, where he was active in the recovery community and often helped lead the men's breakfast. A former addict who courageously turned his life around, he became a pillar of strength for others walking the same road. His greatest joy was helping others find hope.
He loved to fish, especially in his early years in Arkansas, and found peace by the water. A proud member of a motorcycle club, Michael loved the freedom of the open road and the brotherhood it brought him. Above all, he cherished his family and friends, always ready to lend a hand or speak a word of encouragement.
Michael did the most important thing a man can do—he led his daughter, Jenna, to Jesus Christ. His life is a story of transformation, grace, and unwavering love.
He was a blessing to all who knew him, and his legacy will live on through the many lives he touched.
Those left to carry on his legacy and memories is his daughter, Jenna Jones (Tye Standridge); son-in-law, Jodeci Nash; eight grandchildren, Camryn Nelson, Jordan Easthem, Addilee Smith, Rayna Standridge, Devynn Nash, Kyla Nash, Uriyah Banes, Olivia Mitchell; parents, Barbara and David (Moe) Barber and John and Mindy Jennings; his siblings, Brian Jennings, Steven Jennings, Dusty Barber, Russell Barber, Teresa Cravens, Casey Wages, Taneka Munger, Myah Munger, and Kysha Davis; aunts, Martha and Mary; along with other family and friends who all love him and will miss him so much.
He is joined in eternal rest with his beloved wife, Monica Karin Jennings; daughter, Kayla Beth Mitchell-Nash; sister, Tona Barber; and grandparents, Elizabeth and Russell Myers and Guy and Georgeann Jennings.
Michael's celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Friendly Chapel Church of the Nazarene: 116 S. Pine Street, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72114. Bro. Paul Holderfield, Jr. will be officiating.
