Michael David Lookingland, of Ivanhoe, Texas, passed from this life on September 21, 2015, with his loving wife by his side at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.
He was born on February 1, 1957 in Orange, California to his parents, David Barchard Lookingland and Helen Ritter.
Mike was a loving and dedicated husband, friend and grampy. He enjoyed life, had many hobbies and loved his kitties. He loved to go out to dinner and take long drives to find the perfect place to take pictures. Over the years taking tens of thousands of photos of just about anything, and eventually started developing his own slides, from which he would provide the famous slide shows at family functions. He was also an avid collector of movies and music along with swords and games and always had the best electronics. Mike was a brilliant man who could figure out how to fix or build anything he needed with little to no help from others.
On july 4, 1977 he married the love of his life, Linda. They loved spending time together and was apart very little, even working together for a large portion of their marriage until losing a courageous battle with cancer. From his first diagnosis till the very end, he was never bitter or angry. he enjoyed every minute and stayed the sweet man that he was until he drew his last breath and moved on to the next place.
Mike leaves behind his devoted wife, Linda and one son Jim Dial and wife Reynae of Bryant, Arkansas. Two Grandchildren, Mikayla and Hunter Dial, also of Bryant, Arkansas. He also leaves behind two sister-in-laws, Janet Clark and her husband Mark of Roulette, Texas and Mona McLane of Bohnam, Texas, along with two nephews Matthew Clark and Michael McLain, one niece Jessica Foster and his loving kitties who will all miss him dearly.
The family would like to thank Dr. Alex Ehsan and Texoma Medical Center for their care during this difficult time.
