Mike Cook, 62, of Alexander, passed away on April 14, 2017 with his family by his side. He was born to the late James and Judy Cook of Perry County, Arkansas. He was a member of Northside Church of Christ and retired from Tyson Foods after 28 years of employment. He graduated from Central High School in Little Rock then attended University of Arkansas at Monticello. Mike is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Theresa Lipsmeyer. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Gwyn Cook; two sons, Cody Cook and Cameron Cook (Shelby); three brothers, Doug Cook (Tammy), Kenneth Lipsmeyer and Tony Lipsmeyer; sister, Renee Hood; his best friend, Merle Malone and a host of family and friends who all loved him and will miss him dearly. Mike enjoyed being in the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He took great pride in the Tyson Bass Association which he founded with his wife and helped manage every year until his health declined. Many great friends have emerged from the bass tournament and his hunting club and that camaraderie won't be forgotten.
