Nancy McKewen Jorgensen 64 of Benton passed away on January 8, 2017 with her family by her side. She was born on November 3, 1952 in Dewitt, Arkansas to John and Maxine McKewen. Nancy loved baking desserts, reading, working out and helping those in need. She was a talented artist and loving mother, sister and Nana. Nancy retired from the U.S. Postal service in 1996. She later found her love for working with those with special needs.
She is preceded in death by her parents and step father, Taylor McAdams.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Joe Jorgensen; daughters, Jamie McCombs (William) and Jenny Jacks (Jason); step children, Jennifer High (Sam) and Josh Jorgensen (Lainie); nine grandchildren, Jack and Andrew McCombs, Beth and Ben Jacks, Katie and Mackenzie High and Mattingly, Mia and Maddox Jorgensen; sister, Alice Lawson (Mike); brother, John McKewen (Mary); John and Scott Lawson, who were like her sons; her dog, Gracie and a host of family and friends who all loved her and will miss her dearly.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Benton First Christian Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CJohns and Saline Memorial Hospice.
