Obituary

TULL, Ark. – Norman K. Miller, 75, of Tull, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 8, 2025. He was born March 6, 1950, the youngest of eight children born to the late Arley Jones Miller and Cora Esther Harmon Miller.

Raised in a loving and humble home, Norman learned early about faith, family, and hard work. His father was a country preacher, and his childhood was rooted in the kind of love and resilience that shaped who he became. Norman was a devoted Christian and a member of Saline Missionary Baptist Church in Tull in his later years.

He worked for most of his life as a mechanic, a trade he took great pride in. He loved turning wrenches and could often be found under a hood or at the drag strip, pursuing his passion for racing. His hands were rarely still, and his heart was always open—whether helping a friend, sharing a laugh, or chasing the thrill of a race, Norman gave life everything he had.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Diane Miller; four children: Cristy Wheat, Julie Ingle (Tony), Michael Targett (Ashlea), and Rachael Moore (Andy); nine grandchildren: Nathan Donahue, William Wheat, Jacob Wheat, Blake Ingle, Caleb Ingle, Trent Targett, Evan Targett, Colt Targett and Alyssa Moore; five great-grandchildren: Nathan Donahue Jr., Anna Donahue, Eden Donahue, Kendrick Donahue and Adeline Targett.

He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Norman is preceded in death by his seven siblings: Fred Miller, LaVerne Howell, Carlos Miller, Eva Belew, Laura Norman, Evelyn Smith, and Sybil Branscum; his parents, Arley Jones and Cora Esther Miller; and his beloved pets, Crystal, Lucy, and Kix.

A memorial service will be held at Saline Missionary Baptist Church in Tull, Arkansas on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 2:00 P.M.

Any floral arrangements may be delivered to the funeral home anytime during 9:00 A.M. and 3:30 P.M. Monday through Friday.
