Pastor David Edward Harris 64 of Little Rock went to be with his Lord on January 1, 2013. He was born on July 18, 1948 to Leo and Mary Harris in Little Rock, Arkansas. David was a very devoted and loving husband, son, father and grandfather. He dedicated his life in helping and mentoring others; he truly had a servant's heart. Pastor Harris was the pastor for 36 years of Oak Park Baptist Church in Little Rock. He was an avid sports fan and loved listening to music.
David is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Harris and his beautiful granddaughter, Maci Harris.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Christine Harris; father, Leo Harris; son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Shannan Harris; daughter, Beth Harris; four grandchildren, Caleb Harris, Kelsy Dement, Mekenna Dement and Kori Dement; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Peggy Harris and a host of family, church family and friends who all loved him and will miss him dearly.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church at 1:00 PM. Arrangements provided by Dial and Dudley Funeral Home 501-847-9099.
