Peggy Burks, 85, of Bauxite, Arkansas passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, May 23rd, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Peggy was born on Monday, September 25th, 1939, in Benton, Arkansas, to Louie and Lillie Sullivan. She had a deep passion for quilting and cherished the time she spent with her close family. Peggy was known for her warmth, generosity, and the quiet strength she shared with those around her. Over the years, her beautiful quilts became treasured gifts for friends and family, each one stitched with love and care. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who made every gathering special and every home feel warm.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Louie and Lillie Sullivan; her beloved husband, Buddy Burks; three sisters, Dorothy Burton, Delcie Phillips, and Ruby Tinsley; and four brothers, Raymond, Billy Bob, Bonnie, and Pat Sullivan.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Waters of Bauxite; her son, Terry Burks of Benton; three grandchildren, Jason Fullen and his wife, Lindsey, Jody Fullen, and Heather Walker; and four great-grandchildren, Keelin Fullen and her fiancée, Chance Austin, Hunter Fullen, Zadie Walker, and Addison Walker. She also leaves behind a large and loving extended family, including many nieces and nephews who will remember her with affection and admiration.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28th, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home, with Robert Cossey officiating.

A graveside service will follow immediately at Mars Hill Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the COPD Foundation in Peggy's memory.
