Phyllis Pate, 86, of Hot Springs, died June 14, 2010 at Saline Memorial Hospice in Bryant, Arkansas. She was born June 1, 1924 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, George Pate, Jr., her parents Dewey and Ethel Russell and her four siblings Florence Pate, Fran Stevens, Freida Russell and Bud Russell. Survivors include two daughters, Kay Elaine Pate Ollar of Lonsdale, Arkansas and Beverly Harp of Rogers, Arkansas, two granddaughters, Debbie Geurin of Hot Springs and Amy Long of Rogers, Arkansas and five great-grandchildren, Airman Brandon Geurin, Cody Geurin, Drew Geurin, Preston Geurin and Logan Long. When Mr. Pate was in the military, the family lived in Tokyo, Japan, Mainz, Germany and Monterey, California before retiring in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Phyllis was an Avon representative for over 20 years and was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan.
