Rachel Simmons Smith 93 of Benton passed away on November 12, 2013 with her family by her side. She was born to the late, David and Flora Simmons in Sikeston, Missouri. Rachel enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Gospel Assembly Church in Missouri.
Rachel is preceded in death by her parents and six brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Charlotte Sitz (Darrol); two grandsons, Karl Sitz (Betty) and Darin Sitz; two grandchildren, Anna Marie and Brandon Sitz; one sister, Vera Moore of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who all loved her and will miss her dearly.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 11:00 AM at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Collegeville Cemetery. The family would like to give a very special thanks to the CNA's and the Staff at Arkansas Health Center for the loving care shown to Rachel and the family.
