IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Raymond Allen
Pittman
December 6, 1948 – January 1, 2021
Raymond Pittman, age 72, of Bryant passed away on Friday, January 01, 2021. He was born on December 06, 1948 in Eldorado, Arkansas to John and Mabel Pittman. Raymond married his high school sweetheart on December 08, 1967, together they raised three amazing children.
He worked as a rock layer for many years and his work still exists across Bryant. He went on to be the first fire chief of Bryant and retired after 20 years. He started part time as police officer then went on to work full time as Bryant's 3 rd officer under badge # 1702/ Officer Pittman. After retiring from the police department, he went on to work in the maintenance department at Bryant Public Schools. Every teacher and child loved seeing him and he did as well. A bonus was being able to see his grandchildren as well. He retired from the school to care for his wife in her final months and went on to have pawpaw's daycare until his last illness.
Raymond enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing but more than anything he loved being with his family. He was dad and pawpaw above everything else.
He was known by everyone for his contagious smile, big hugs and unforgettable laugh, He always gave everyone second chances, he was active in Midtowne Church. He loved God and brought us all up in church. He was a Christian and wonderful example of what it meant to love others and live out a Christ-like life. He made the best mashed potatoes.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Dianne Pittman, parents John and Mabel Pittman, three brothers, Junior, Donald and Larry.
Raymond is survived by two brothers Billy (Tanya); Danny. His three children Angela (Shawn), Brittany, Brian (Mary).
