Obituary

Rebecca F. Barnes passed away Sunday, May 3, 2020.  She was "Becky" to some, but to most who knew her she was Mimi.  She was 74 years old.  Mimi was born on May 27, 1945 to Chester and Delta Payne in Floyd, Arkansas.  She was a graduate of Beebe High School and married Skip Barnes in 1965.  They were married for 50 years and 3 months before he passed away in2015.  Mimi has been a member of Fairview Baptist Church for 40 years.  She was known by her family as a homemaker who could take a small portion and make it feed a table full of people. She loved being around her family and friends to enjoy a good meal and fellowship.  In her earlier years she was known as a carport sale connoisseur and would always say, "If you wait long enough, you can find anything."

Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, a brother (Bobby Payne) and sister-in-law (Dorothy Payne). She is survived by two sons:  Ronnie (Amy) of Batesville and James (Mendy) of Shannon Hills.  To cherish her memory are 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and several extended "adopted" family members.
