Richard Allen Herring, 56, of Benton, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019. He was born to Bennie and Linda (Franklin) Herring on Thursday, August 16, 1962 in Little Rock, Arkansas. One of his biggest passions was the 18 years of racing at I-30 Speedway. The support of family and friends meant everything to him. In 2001, he won Sportsman of the Year at I-30 Speedway. He loved sharing Las Vegas with his loving wife and best friend, LeElla. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Rose City.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bennie Herring and mother-in-law, Pat Shumate.

Remaining to share memories are his wife of 36 years, LeElla Herring; mother, Linda Herring; brother, Blaine Herring (Susan); sister-in-law, Wendy Peeks (James); father-in-law, Lee Roy Shumate (Arbelle); two nephews, Dale and Justin Peeks; special friend, Glen Passmore; along with a host of friends and other family who loved and will miss him dearly.

A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home.
