Robert Stith Bennett (Bob), age 73, of Bryant, AR passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 28, 2021 with his family by his side. He was born on July 24, 1947 to the late Frankie Lee and George Ann (Jan) Bennett of Jonesboro, AR.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents and loving wife, of 30 years, Mary Evelyn Bennett.

He is survived by his sister Connie Slaughter (Joe) of Piney Flats, TN; three children, Leslie Dodd (Teddy) of Jonesboro AR, Daniel Bennett (Amanda) and Kelly Castleman (Justin) of Bryant, AR; and five grandchildren, Reagan, Riley, Hunter, Carson and Kirklynn.

Robert retired from the Arkansas Department of Health after serving most recently as the Chief Financial Officer. He enjoyed spending time outdoors whether at the lake, deer camp or being a coach and lifelong sports enthusiast. He was most proud of each of his grandchildren and all their many accomplishments. Robert was an active member of the Central Arkansas Mustangers.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home , 4212 AR-5, Bryant, AR 72022. Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation at agff.org.
