Robert Joseph Cochran, 72, of Alexander, Arkansas (formerly of California), passed away Friday, November 23, 2018.  He was born January 23, 1946 in San Francisco, California to Floyd and Patricia Cochran.

He retired from Chevron as Environmental Director, working in the oil and gas industry in California.  He read and knew the Bible like few others.  After his wife died, Robert moved to Arkansas and volunteered at Saline Memorial Hospital.   He was an avid reader and especially enjoyed science fiction.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie; parents; and niece, Pamela Brazil.

Survivors include his step-son, Randy Hammond (Diane) of Walnut Creek, California; sister, Jeanne Brazil (Anthony) of New Hampshire; and niece, Alison Brazil (Andrew DeRosa) also of New Hampshire.

Sunday's church service will be dedicated to Robert:  9:30 A.M., Sunday, December 2, 2018, Congo United Methodist Church, 2903 Steel Bridge Road, Benton, Arkansas 72015.

Services are in the care of Dial & Dudley Funeral Home, Bryant, Arkansas.
