IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Allen
Howard Sr.
December 13, 1946 – November 29, 2020
Robert Allen Howard "Bob" On Friday the 13 th 1946, the planets and stars aligned, and Robert Allen Howard was born. With all the knowledge of the universe and the strength of 20 men, he looked out over a wheat field and said "Well, let's get to work." And he continued to get after it until Sunday, November 29 th , 2020. And if you listened close, you could hear him say "Be cool on your stool".
He is preceded in death by his father Oscar B. Howard and his mother Wanda Marie Howard, older brother Richard B. Howard, and younger brother David L. Howard.
Left behind are his wife Maecile Tygart Howard of 53 magical years, his daughter Shelly Smith-Bailey and her husband Cade Bailey, his Grandson Collin Smith and his fiancé Paige, and his 2 miniature schnauzers Tailey and Teela. Not to mention his nieces, nephews, friends, church family, and his beloved pastor Brother Phil Stein.
Bob loved hunting, fishing, spending time with the ones he loved, and telling people what to do. He was a member of Springlake Church of the Nazarene, the Belfast Hunting Club, and former president of the Howard Hunting Club. He has moved every manner of trailer, building, and vehicle known to man. His humor was outstanding and he loved to be the life of the party.
The family wants to thank the entire Staff at UAMS for their hard work and dedication to Bob. Thank you to Bob' s medical team: Dr. Falls, Sherri Youngblood and Alex Ford, their efforts allowed him to fight valiantly until the Lord told him that it was ok to come home. And a special thank you to Alex Ford for holding Bob's hand as he crossed over. There will be a Celebration of Life for Bob Howard at some point in time. For now we will tell tall tales of his deeds, his adventures, and his life.
