Robert Marion Lequieu's Obituary

Robert Marion Lequieu, 90, of Benton, Arkansas passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April, 1, 2026. He was born on October 15, 1935 to the late Henry and Edna Lequieu in Springhill, Arkansas. Robert lived a long and fulfilling life centered around hard work, craftsmanship, and the outdoors. He took pride in working with his hands, first as a butcher and later through his love of antiquing and woodworking. He found joy in tending a large garden and spending time hunting, even running dogs for fox hunts for a period of his life. He and his wife were devoted followers of Christ and faithful members of Sharon Baptist Church, a foundation that guided their lives. Above all, Robert was deeply devoted to his family—he loved them wholeheartedly and would do anything for them, a legacy that will be remembered by all who knew him.

He is preceded by his wife, Marilyn Lequieu; daughter, Paula James; grandchildren, Karla Coffman and Ashley James; parents, Henry and Edna Lequieu; brothers, Donald Lequieu and Leonard Lequieu.

Robert is survived by his children, Robin Lequieu (Crystal), Steve Depriest (Ronda), Kevin Depriest, and Ricky Depriest; grandchildren, Jason Depriest, Tanner James, Hunter James (Emily), Kamron Depriest (Jenny), Lane Depriest, Zach Drennan, Paige Gilliand (Mitch), Cheyanne Depriest, Henry Lequieu, and Hadley Lequieu; great-grandchildren, Lexi, Hayden, Bree, Ethan, Cotten, Charlotte, James, Jacob, and Forest; sister, Imogene Conway.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 2:00 pm, with visitation the night prior, Monday, April 6, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Hunter James, Tanner James, Lane Depriest, Kamron Depriest, Jason Depriest, and Zach Drennan.

Though he will be deeply missed, we find comfort in the hope of seeing him again, as described in Revelation 21:4, where death and pain will be no more.
