Obituary

Roger Keith Atkinson, 59, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 2, 2020.  He was born on May 12, 1960, in Little Rock, Arkansas. He received his high school diploma in 1978 from McClellen High School and played tuba for the band and was part of the school's choir.

Roger was artistically talented, from singing to his craftsmanship, and had a strong passion for the art of music. He was the lead singer of a choir-crafted group called the "Sounds of Now." He was an avid outdoorsman, where he loved to hunt, fish, camp, ride four-wheelers and work on cars. He was dedicated to anything he put his mind to, and always willing to help those in need.

Most of all, his loyalty and love were to his family. Roger is preceded in death by this father, James, his mother, Jessie, and his two brothers, Steve and Reggie Atkinson. He is survived by his wife, Penny, his son, Brandon (Melissa), his two grandchildren, Beckham and Mason, his brother, Murray Atkinson (Pat), and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
