Roger Larue Spears, 73, of Alexander, Arkansas was born to the late, Virgil and Mahala (Puckett) Spears, on Sunday, November 27th, 1949, in England, Arkansas. He left this world on Monday, October 23rd, 2023, surrounded by love.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Mahala Spears of Coy, Arkansas; three sisters, Helen Hacker of De Valls Bluff, Arkansas, Opal Carr of Alexander, Arkansas, and Roby Gregory of Perryville, Arkansas.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Jeanette Sledge Spears and their five children, James (Dona), John (Amy), Ricky (Lela), Amy (Paul), and Henry (Demi); his eleven grandchildren, Emery, Cody, Jared, Kailey, Vanessa, Tyler, Payton, Michael, Jacob, Isabella, and Brad; one great grandchild, Oliver; his sister, Sue (Robert) Whitmore; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who all love him and will miss him dearly.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25th, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home.

His private memorial service will be held at a later date and will be updated when determined.
