Ronald Wayne Anderson, 86, of Benton, passed away on Wednesday September 20, 2023 at Evergreen Living Center in Bryant.

Ron was born on January 14, 1937 in Prescott to Wayne Anderson and Linna Mae Bain Anderson.  Ron grew up in El Dorado, graduating from El Dorado High School in 1955. After graduation, Ron attended Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, earning a Music Education Degree. Ron received a Masters in a Music Education from the University of Arkansas. He lived in Russellville for many years, raising his family, and managing Wallick Music Company. Ron spent over 30 years in education, directing high school bands in Hamburg, Harrison, Clinton and Morrilton, until he retired in 2003. He was active in the churches he attended through the years, and loved serving in various ministries of the church. Ron loved reading, working crossword puzzles, and following his favorite sports teams, the Arkansas Razorbacks and St Louis Cardinals.

Ron Anderson is preceded in death by his first wife, Sue Anderson in 1999, who he was married to for 33 years. He is also preceded in death by his second wife, Bettye Harbison Anderson, in 2022, who he was married to for 20 years.

Ron is survived by his children Clif Anderson and his wife, Sarah, of Springdale, Kristi Sims and her husband, Shane, of Benton, and a brother, Jerry Anderson, of Greenville Texas.  Ron was very proud of his five grandsons and the joy they brought him: Caleb Anderson, Will Anderson, Bo Sims, Brett Sims, and Blake Sims.
