Ronald "Ron" Melvin Harris 78, of Alexander passed away on May 30, 2017 with his family by his side. He was born on January 11, 1939 to the late, Richard and Mary Jane Harris in Richmond, Indiana. Ron was employed with Belden Manufacturing for 29 years then worked at Molex for 10 years. Ron enjoyed fishing, gardening and wood working.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara Harris; three children, Mark Harris (Linda), Ellen Morshedi (Siavash) and Emily Smith (Brad); seven grandchildren, Rachel (Brett), Sara (Joshuah), Eric (Kamerie), Bryan (Jill), Katie, Christian and Jacob; four great grandchildren and three on the way; sister, Eleanor Edwards (Richard) and a host of family and friends who all loved him and will miss him dearly.
