IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ronald Gerald
Moore
May 27, 1948 – July 31, 2013
Ronald Gerald Moore, age 65 of Benton, met our Lord on July 31, 2013. He was born May 27, 1948, in Pontiac, Michigan to Lloyd Gerald Moore and Joyce M. McKendry Moore.
Col. Moore is preceded in death by his father and sister Victoria Moore Hunt.
He is survived by his wife of one year, Diana; daughters, Victoria and McKenzie of the home; mother, Joyce Moore of Metamora, Michigan; siblings, Thomas Ivan Moore of Orlando, Florida; Winfield Clyde Moore and wife Colleen of Metamora, MI., Christine Moore Sierakowski and husband Walter of Metamora, MI; and Michel Moore of Flint, MI; eight nephews and four nieces and several great-nephews and great-nieces. In addition to family, Col. Moore leaves many friends to cherish his memory. Ron was an intelligent, energetic, outgoing person and the kind of friend we'd all hope to have and to be. He enjoyed flying, golf, auto sports and traveling. He served in the United States Navy as a weatherman in the early 1970's. After completing college at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, he entered the United States Air Force and was trained as a navigator, then qualified as Weapon System Officer. He was then selected to attend Air Force Pilot Training. He continued to serve as fighter pilot and holding many commands and retired in 1997. He continued his aviation career as a private corporate pilot until late 2012. Of all his many accomplishments during his distinguished military career of almost 30 years, his treasure and his love are his two wonderful daughters.
His memorial service will be held on Monday, August 5th, 2013, at 2:00 P.M. with the visitation one-hour prior at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home with Brother Carl Wright officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity or to Saline Memorial Hospice.
