Dial & Dudley Funeral Home
5:00 - 7:00 pm (Central time)
Ronald David Torres Sr. passed away peacefully on Father’s Day, June 21, 2026, at the age of 72, having just been surrounded by the love and presence of his family.
Ron was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He was known for his genuine passion for serving and protecting others. He worked for Alcoa for many years and spent the majority of his life in security work, a profession he truly loved. Ron took great pride in his work and found purpose in helping keep others safe.
His faith was an important part of his life. For many years, Ron faithfully served with Royal Rangers through his church, mentoring young boys and helping shape their character through faith, encouragement, and leadership. The influence he had on those young lives continues to be part of his lasting legacy.
Ron also loved basketball and treasured the years he spent coaching various teams. Many young athletes benefited from his guidance both on and off the court.
He found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved good music, enjoyed relaxing with episodes of The Andy Griffith Show, and cherished time spent with family. In recent years, his beloved cats, Simba and Moomie, brought him constant companionship, comfort, and happiness.
He was preceded in death by his incredible wife, Susan Kay Torres, whose memory remained close to his heart and all of ours.
He leaves behind his son, Ronald David Torres Jr.; his daughter, Kimberly Sue Torres Nordin; his cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Taylor, Andrew, Ava, Braden, Abrianna, Mila, and Reese; and his precious great-granddaughter, Laylah. He also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, former coworkers, players, and those whose lives were touched by his kindness and friendship.
While our hearts are broken by his loss, we find comfort in knowing that he lives on through the family he loved and the many lives he impacted throughout his years. We will remember his devotion to family, his willingness to help others, and his love of faith and community.
On a day dedicated to fathers, we said goodbye to ours as he was welcomed into the eternal arms of our Heavenly Father.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026 from 5:00 P.M - 7:00 P.M. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home.
