IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rovilla Ann
Reeves
March 9, 1942 – June 24, 2025
"I did it my way."
Rovilla Ann ( Henry) Reeves, 83, of Bryant, Arkansas lived on her own terms. She suffered a fall at home and was not able to recover. On Tuesday, June 24th, 2025, she passed away peacefully, surrounded by family.
Born to George and Lois Henry, Rovilla's life was a patchwork of love, hard work and unwavering independence. She stitched love into everything she touched. From intricate quilts to the bonds she wove between family and friends, her hands were rarely still.
She was a woman who found peace in the quiet hum of a quilting machine, who believed the best kind of warmth came from a bonfire, occasionally catching the field on fire for her antics, and who never waited for permission to live life exactly the way she wanted. If you knew Rovilla, you knew there was no other way.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, William Reeves; her son, Dewayne Merritt; her brother, Curtis Henry; and her sister, Martha Ruch.
She is survived by her sons, Darryl Merritt, of Bryant, and Paul Merritt, of Little Rock; her granddaughters, Jessica Merritt, of Little Rock, Ashley (Jacob) Bright, of Wilmington, NC, Jacquelyn (Tyler) Haines, of Topeka, KS, and Karmen Merritt, of Little Rock. She also leaves behind her nephew Jason (Casey) Hughes; six cherished great-grandchildren, Braeden, Vance, Evelynn, Gates, Kaiser, and Morrigan; two great-nieces, and one spoiled little Yorkie, Mandy, who never left her side.
Her family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1st, 2025, at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant, Arkansas.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Magnolia with Bro. Joe Owens officiating.
