Roy Don Higgins 66 of Traskwood passed away on January 5, 2015 with his family by his side. He was born on February 1, 1948 to the late, Donald and Venita Higgins in Newport, Arkansas. Roy enjoyed hunting, fishing and fixing anything he put his mind to. He retired from Arkansas Health Center after 29 years of service and was a member of Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Kenneth, Curtis and Jimmy Higgins; one sister, Edith Johnson and aunt, Delphia Beard.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Rachel Higgins; three sons, Roy Higgins (Angela), Carl Higgins and Jason Higgins; one sister, Mary Jones (Billy); five grandchildren, Colton, Doyne, Erin, Olivia and Maddie Higgins and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who all loved him and will miss him dearly.
