Roy Lional Leland Jr. 86 of Alexander, formerly of Lonoke passed away on August 5, 2011. Roy was born on May 30, 1925 to the late LeRoy and Vivian Leland in Los Angeles, California. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Benton. Mr. Leland was a true Christian man and loved sharing the gospel with others, he taught Sunday School at Zimmerman's Nursing Home for over 38 years. Roy was a wonderful father, grandfather and friend.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Oleta Mae Leland; parents; his twin brother, Ray Edward Leland; great grandson, Tyler Scott Ables and his best friend, John Ledbetter.
Mr. Leland is survived by one son, Roy Leland III (Susan); six daughters, Becky Burton (David), Linda Bynum (Raymond), Sandy Ables (Lynn), Denise Granger (Ken), Carla Ward (Donald) and Patti Jones (Hugh); nineteen grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren and one on the way and a host of family and friends who all loved and will miss him dearly.
