Ruth Ellis, age 91, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026 in Lonoke, Arkansas. She was born on May 5, 1934 to the late Lee O and Delores Woods.

Ruth was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who devoted her life to her family. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the deep love she shared with those around her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Carroll Ellis, and her two sons, Joe Ellis and Billy Ellis.

She leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters, Cathy Stricklin (George) and Janet Davis (Dean). She is also survived by her grandchildren: Ronald Ellis, Eddie Stricklin, Eric Stricklin (Cody), Faith Clements (Will), Joe Ellis (Amy), Mandy Mercer (Brandon), Billy Ellis (Ashley), Casey Ellis, Daniel Stripling (Elizabeth), and Brandon Stripling (Allison), along with many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Ruth’s legacy of love and family will live on in all who knew her.
