Obituary

Sandra (Sandy) Kay Plummer (Jackman), age 72, formerly of Traskwood Arkansas left her family and friends on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 to be with the angels.  She was born February 26, 1948 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to Albert Ulysses Jackman and Marceline (Sheppard) Jackman Spoon.  She graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1966.  She married her high school sweetheart, John (Johnny) Plummer, on July 9, 1966 in Levy Methodist Church.  They were married for 54 years.  Through thick and thin, good times and bad, they always stuck together and were as in love as the day they got married.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny Plummer; daughter, Leata Plummer; son, John Plummer and his wife Pam; granddaughter, Stacy Plummer; grandson, Johnathan Plummer; great-grandson Ian Plummer; brother, James (Jim) Jackman and his wife Helen; sister, Carla (Spoon) Golden and her husband Ronnie (deceased); brother Jack Spoon and his wife Gail; brother Thomas (Tom) Spoon and his wife Maria; and "sister by heart", Veirlone Beck and her husband Robert.

Sandy was a devoted wife and mother.  She wrapped her family and friends in a warm blanket of love.  She was funny, bossy and a worrier.  She kept her family safe and secure with her attention to detail.  She would tell us when she disagreed, but always said, "But, you know I'm on your side.  I've got your back".  Another of her favorite phrases was, "Tell the truth, and shame the devil".  With family and friends, if it hit her head, it came out her mouth.  And sometimes, not the way she intended.

She loved island camping and swimming in the summer when the water was "pee warm".  She loved sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting and crafts.  There wasn't anything she couldn't make.  Some of her most beautiful pieces came from her dreams.  But her greatest love was her family and friends.  She will be sorely missed.
